The Museo Civico Archeologico "Antonio De Nino," opened in 2005 and located in a 17th-century aristocratic mansion, preserves the numerous artefacts from excavations conducted in the territory of Corfinium, the ancient capital of the Italic peoples.

The collection encompasses a wide period, from the Neolithic period to the late ancient and medieval times, organized in a chronological and thematic itinerary through 10 rooms with 43 display cases. 

The exhibition design is striking and elegant, boasting pieces of considerable value, such as the Cameo and a sculpture depicting the face of Emperor Claudius, as well as the famous silver coin with the inscription "Italia" testifying to the lustre of Corfinium as the capital of the Italic allies in the Social War.

The rooms on the second floor of the museum house artefacts from the Republican and Imperial necropolises, urban places of worship and suburban sanctuaries, residences and public buildings. The museum also has spaces dedicated to education, workshop activities and a multimedia room used for lectures and screenings.

Prominent among the proposed activities are the Experimental Archaeology Workshops with the project "At the Museum to Know While Having Fun," which combines archaeological, historical and cultural study and research through educational-constructive play. Each workshop provides scientific information by combining moments of manual skills with sensory perceptions, offering an immediate and effective approach to knowledge through play.

The Civic Archaeological Museum "Antonio De Nino" is an additional educational resource for schools and offers the possibility of consultations with teachers to develop new educational-educational paths, supported by technical and scientific expertise.
